This book was on my reading list for years and in my thriving quest, I took upon the read.
It was a mind blowing read on an unexpected aspect while teaching invaluable life lessons. I was aware of the genesis of the book which took place during the Nazis concentration but I wasn’t ready for what the horror the author and his peers went through.
I knew what occurred as we all repeatedly theoretically learned in French school programs but this book illustrates the events at a whole another level with far more powerful dimension. I will never forget the read. The more the time flies, the vivid history fades and risk to become a perpetual circle. It is our duty to keep a hard memory.
A 2020 study showed that 2/3rd of the US youth doesn’t believe or isn’t aware in the Holocaust, if you happen to be amongst this category of people, this book comes highly recommended to enlarge your view.
The book also teaches what takes place at the extreme of the human condition. How may we find a sense to our life? It goes as far as mentioning that suffering brings a sense to our lives. As striking as it may sound, the purposes comes only to mitigate the suffering bringing us tiny satisfactions.
It gives a profound perspective on our lives and how we should live by what our world has to offer.
